Wah users: What are your settings to make the wah auto-engage with toe down and turn off immediately at toe up?
Coming from Fractal, you can set the autoengage, as well as a “dead zone” (so it doesn’t engage at, like, 1%) and then it would turn off immediately. With the QC, I find that there is NO dead zone, so if you toe up to turn it off, but there’s even a slight register of activity, it’ll turn on and kinda be in that cocked wah state. And when you toe up, it does turn off, but it seems to have a little bit of a delay before actually deactivating the effect; kinda like the old Bad Horsie II wah.
Just need some advice on how to get this to behave as expected, since the above situation is untenable for certain parts in songs that need a precisely timed wah on/wah off setting. Thanks in advacne!
Coming from Fractal too, I ended up using this configuration. I’m using Bad Horse and set up max range to 55% as I find the max too harsh. Hope it helps!
Thanks, guys- I did end up figuring it out with a lot of trial and error.
@jLupi - having no delay is untenable for me; this makes it turn of literally the spilt second the heel goes down. I found that your settings, with just a little delay makes it playable so it’s not turning off while you’re trying to wah- like maybe 150ms or so- and then it still turns off almost immediately when you bring it back to heel down when you no longer need it.
