Using footswitches for bypassing effects

Hi, one thing I can’t get around is how I configure the two footswitches so that I can toggle on/off two effects of my choice during a song, for example chorus on/off and overdrive on/off.

I can only assign presets to the footswitches, but that doesn’t give me the option to freely combine the effects with each other (if I for example want clean, clean+chorus, overdrive, overdrive+chorus during one song).

Furthermore, I wonder how I can create scenes (or similar) – where one scene is use for a song – that I can easily toggle between while performing live directly from the pedal.

Let’s say I play five songs live, where I want a default sound and with available effects to toggle on/off during the songs:

Song 1 – clean base tone, chorus and OD to toggle on/off
Song 2 – crunchy base tone, boost and delay to toggle on/off
Song 3 – crunchy base tone, phaser and boost to toggle on/off

Etc.

Best,
David

Hi David,

You just can change presets with the switches on the nano. It would be best to get some kind of midi controller.

Very cheap is the chocolate with 4 footswitches for the effects. Like the M-VAVE Chocolate Plus.

For better, futureproof switching I would highly recommend the luminite m1/m2 or the Morningstar products. With one „good“ footswitch you are set to make even way more presets and combinations

Hi WienerDogStudios,

Thanks for your quick reply!

Hm, that’s a bummer. I wouldn’t expect I had to buy additional gear for such a basic feature.

Best,

David
