I’m planning to rebuild my home studio and considering the option to use the Quad Cortex through a Patch Bay, while having another audio interface as the central piece (getting in love with the “Heritage Audio i73 PRO Edge”) together with a “Two Notes Reload II” that I already own
My goal is to be able to leave the QC sitting in a drawer and have all the options to route the signal through it, including the creation of Neural Captures, hence the need of a Patch Bay.
Now here is my doubt: as I will need to route both instrument and line level signals, do I need to take anything into account when routing the signals through the Patch Bay? Do I need to work 100% Line Level and if so, convert Instr->Line before entering the patch bay, and viceversa when going out?
My worry is screwing up the Hi-Z signals needed for “Input 1” and “Capture Out” when hitting the Patch Bay.
