Hey everyone, I was wondering if ya’ll could help me with this one.
I used to run a QC, with a Seymour Duncan Powerstage 200, and recently have upgraded to a KSR PA50. That being said, I also run an in-ear setup with both of my bands. I always use cabs on stage as well, so the PS200 was perfect for this setup because they have a direct out from the amp, with a cab sim attached knowing most people would need to bypass the sim for the cabs to sound normal.
So, I have now run into the issue where I no longer have a way to send out a signal as such, from the KSR PA50.
That being said, I have thought of a few workarounds, such as just leaving the PS200 in the routing chain, and just use both outputs from the QC, one to the KSR for cabs, one to the PS200 so I can run my in ear setup. Not ideal as I would like to just replace the PS200, but I don’t see how I’d be able to route properly within the QC itself, to make this happen, which is one of the reasons I’m inquiring.
I also wondered if there was some way to split the mic’d cab signal from the FOH to send to my box, but I’m not aware if that’s possible. I also thought of just bringing my own mic’d cab setup to just send to our box, but again, I’d like to minimize the amount of parts involved.
Any insight would help, thank you all for being here, and doing what you do.
