Rack kit for Quad Cortex

Hi ! I am looking for a rack kit to mount a Quad Cortex in a rack vertically. Do you have any leads? I have not found anything. It can surely be made.

I’ve only ever seen people mount them flat, basically within a drawer. Assuming I haven’t seen anyone do it vertically since it would take up so much room in a rack

Indeed, it would take up space but it would still be practical to be able to access it without having to pull out a drawer.

You could use a drawer and add a partition 4" or so back. If you use cables with 90 degree connectors it would fit within 6 rack spaces.

Thank you for your answer. That seems like a good idea to me. But what type of partition could I take?

You’ll probably need to add some weight to the back of the rack case since the front will be much heavier. Something to be aware of esp with the lighter plastic SKB style cases. You’ll probably be ok with a heavier case that has wood for the sides

Noted, thanks !

I haven’t seen any accessories specifically for that but it would be easy to make one with a piece of 90 degree aluminum angle stock, 10-32s with nuts and some dual lock to keep the QC in place.

Thank you. I finally racked it in a tray.

How did you fix it in place? Standard pedalboard velcros or something more heavy duty?
Did you try and put it inside the drawer for more protection when transporting? As I see it’s a 2U drawer, should be high enough?
