Quad Cortex -- Sudden terrible static interference despite working fine for a month

Hi, I’ve had the Quad Cortex for about a month and a half and it has worked fine until the last few days. I changed absolutely nothing in my setup (same cords, same guitars, same ground, etc). It’s affecting both distorted and clean presets and it’s made it practically unusable. For contrast, I used the same cords on my old 2009 Line 6 amp and there’s absolutely no static at all, so I know it’s not anything else in my setup.

For what it’s worth, I only use headphones when I play, and because I live in an apartment, that is a necessity. I’ve tried everything I could find on the web to fix it (including adjusting different I/O parameters) and I believe it’s a faulty component. Someone else with the exact same issue stated that it was a faulty “connecting board” that needed to be replaced.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Take a video and contact support (they’ll have you take a video anyway). Good luck with this - sounds like a PITA.

Oh, I thought this was how we contacted support? I couldn’t find an actual support link around here, so I figured this was it.

And man, I’m not sure how I’ll get it on video since I only use headphones. I’ll have to see if I can hook it up through the amp.

Thanks for the response!

Their email is on the Neural website contact page- Contact - Neural DSP

This is a great place for “unofficial” support, like “How do I…” or “Does anyone else…”, but for actual hardware/tech support, the link @SelfTitledLP is the one you want. It’s never a bad idea to check here first, though.

Thanks for the link, I just sent them an e-mail.

Ty, I just sent them an e-mail with a video. It was doing it through my amp too. For contrast, the amp was clean (even the high gain channel) when I wasn’t running the QC through it. Same guitar, same cords.
