Hi all, just wondering if it’s possible to use a dual expression pedal (Hotone Ampero press II) with QC Mini as the Mini only has one exp output? If so do I need a specific cable routing? Cheers
I think you would need to connect the second expression via midi, and thus you would need a midi controller with an expression input between the QCm and your pedal.
I don’t have a mini but I have learned from my time with the QC that dual-XPs aren’t as useful as I thought they’d be. Much of what they can do can be accomplished in Scene Mode w/ a single XP.
What kind of functions do you use it for? What would you want the second line for? (if it’s just for using the Switch which I guess it would be for that model, you can toggle between fx by assigning them to Scenes)
Frok what i can tell, Ampero II Press is not a dual expression pedal. It is a (single) expression pedal with a switch. Output 2 is a footswitch, not expression. I dont know if the QC can be programmed to use a switch to an expression input to change between 2 discrete settings (i.e., equivalent of heel and toe with an expression pedal).
I agree, or assigning 2+ devices to a stomp so that using the stomp alternates between the 2 devices (e.g. volume and wah blocks)
Thanks all for the replies. So basically I just want to use the Hotone for volume in the loop and switch on for Wah/Whammy at the beginning of the chain.
Wouldn’t you just be able to use a scene or stomp to bypass between a volume block and Wah block? One expression pedal could control both….
