Preset creation process

Hi there, I am a total noob and I just bought my nano cortex but I would like to get the most out of it. I am familiarizing with the app and the nano itself, but (after discovering that you cannot download entire presets from other nano users) I am wondering what is the best process to create my presets. The captures are often named with acronims or names that means nothing to me. Often I find amp captures but you can only use one so either you use an amp capture or a pedal capture.

What process do you use to create your presets? Until now, given that I am a noob, I asked chatgpt to create a preset for the nano for a specific sound similar to the one of this or that song. But I am sure, expert users use it in a different way.

I typically start with using a capture that gets me close to the sound I’m looking for. Then I use the effects slots to add more color. I also find more success with using non-stock IR’s. So I’d experiment with that if you haven’t yet

like you said, the names of the captures can be confusing unless you’re actually familiar with the amp someone captured. You can use the app search bar and search for a particular amp that you’re familiar with at first.

Out of curiosity I also tried asking ChatGPT just now to create a present and the results aren’t great
