I’m a new owner of a Nano Cortex and there’s something I find confusing on the Cortex Cloud. Specifically, the “numbers” used at the end of capture names. Several captures have up to 20 (different ???) versions? For example:
My New Preset 1
My New Preset 2
My New Preset 3
My New Preset 18
My New Preset 19
So are the sequentially numbered captures just slightly tweaked captures and I should just download the highest numbered capture? Or is every sequentially numbered capture a complete and different sounding capture altogether? And I should download every numbered version?
Hi! These are different recordings with different settings, which could include equalization adjustments, microphones used, or microphone positions relative to the speaker cone, etc. That’s why they’re numbered; they could all be from the same amplifier but with different variations. You can download whichever ones you want. In fact, you can listen to them by pressing the play button and playing your instrument to see how they sound without having to download them all. I hope this helps! Cheers!
If you look at the details of a capture there’s always information there that tells you settings and information. This is pretty much true for anything shared by Neural.
With other users the information and naming can be a bit all over the place since it’s optional.
