As a work around this can be set up by using a splitter and putting a delay, then a compressor with a side chain next and mixing it back in with the dry signal. Almost like a send/return.
Agreed. I really liked how you could do negative values on ducking on Kemper in which is the ducked effect operated opposite to most ducked effects.
Is there any movement from Neural DSP regarding ducking of delays and reverbs? I will not buy a Qaudcortex or Nanocortex until ducking has been implemented.
Yes, this is a great workaround. The limitation is that compressors are either side-chained or stereo but not both. This means that if you use, say, the Circular Delay, you would lose its stereo effect. That is exactly the application I thought of when I made this other feature request: Stereo compressors with sidechaining .
Is there any news on ducking delays or reverbs for the quad cortex? Using a side chain could be a work around but I think it is important that a system like the quad cortext has a “native” ducking option without having to use a work around. Thanks!
Yes, the Digital Delay is the one that has ducking, and that is why I use it almost exclusively.
