Nano Cortex Fottswitch Controller with Touchscreen and 8 Footswitches

https://github.com/DrD85/nano-cortex-controller/tree/main

Worked hard on this project. Hope you enjoy!

Features

  • Presets: six presets per bank on footswitches 3–8, 16 own banks with colour and symbol per switch, previous/next preset by swiping, rename and save on the Nano, follows preset changes made on the pedal
  • FX mode: footswitches 3–7 switch Pre FX 1–2 and Post FX 1–3, tiles in the effect category colours
  • FX editor (long press on an FX tile): choose the model and edit every parameter live
  • Capture and Cab/IR: pick one of the 25 capture slots or 5 cab slots, or load any capture or IR from the Nano’s library (factory and user) into the active slot
  • Reverb switch (footswitch 8): toggles the reverb mix between Pos 1 and Pos 2 of the preset’s expression setting – or switches between the preset’s reverb and a second reverb with its own settings
  • Tuner with large note display and needle (footswitch 2)
  • USB audio volume of the Nano (playback from the computer), as in the official app
  • Footswitch learn: assign any footswitch to any function
  • Full-screen tiles (swipe up) for reading from a distance
  • Up to 8 footswitches on an SX1509 I/O expander (optional – the touch screen works on its own)

This is really interesting. When payday comes around I think I might give it a go.

I haven’t had a chance to go through the full repo yet. Is adding the switches a fairly simple setup?

Yeah just tap long on the preset - learn and hit the switch

Looks great. Is it just standard latching foot switches you have used? And that connect to the touchscreen device?

Yes, the best documentation for the footswitches is from the project from builty for the tonex pedal

You can also connect any wireless midi foot switch to the board, too, if you don’t want to solder.

Right now I’m fixing the last issues and connect the board to the desktop app, so that both connect to the Nano at the same time. It’s already working. Will do a short video later, to explain everything

Little Demo-Video, I’m tired but I hope you’ll get the idea

  1. I added 4 Presets so you can save your fx presets and load them in instantly

Test the full controller here with a chrome browser

It now works on iPhones, too. Just use the bluefy browser. For Fullscreen tap the screen button on the top.

Midi should work with the iPhone, too

This looks great.
I did not know you coded.
It is a lot of work to do this.
I know because I code myself.

Congrats and thanks.
