When I try to use only the left or right output to have my presets be a mono sum of the stereo signal, I actually only get one side of it.
Is this a hardware/firmware issue with the Nano, or am I doing something incorrectly?

The Nano (and also the Quad, actually) does not automatically sum to mono internally. Currently the Nano doesn’t do this intentionally, but if you disable IRs in the right output, the unit will then sum your signal to mono. Tech support said this wasn’t known by the team announcing the update but they assume it was intentional from the devs.
