Model of Nobel Bass Preamp or Some Kind of Tube Preamp for Bass

Seeing how popular the Noble DI/Preamp is with bass players lately it’d make a nice addition to the handful of bass amp models that are currently on the Quad Cortex. Line 6 has a model of it in their stuff that’s supposed to be pretty close to the real thing (although I’ve never played through a real Noble myself) so if they can figure it out then it shouldn’t be too hard for Neural.

It might be nice to have some other kinds of preamps that are commonly used as well. I’ve used an Avalon U5 and a Branch Audio Tree II in a studio setting a couple times and really enjoyed how my bass sounded through those units as well. I could definitely see people having a use for those in their signal chain, especially since some pre amps like the Tree II are used on vocals sometimes as well

Would definitely be nice to have in there as a stock option, though the Noble is also one of the most captured bass effects in Cortex Cloud, so there’s plenty of options to try out in there.

To my ear (and I happen to own a Noble myself), the captures (and the Line 6 model) get extremely close, but lack just a touch of the dynamics low frequency response of the real thing, but the overall vibe is certainly there, and they’re absolutely good enough for live use.

I’ve made a cool capture of a groove tubes brick. It’s a tube DI and sounds amazing on bass. Might be worth checking out.
