MIDI Clock / Global External Tempo and Tempo Sync Support

For use cases with tempo synced delays, the lack of MIDI Clock support, along with tempo sync is a real bummer.

This would really be a few discrete features for it to be useful:

  • support for a concept of tempo, globally
  • the ability to sync the delay time to this tempo
  • support for setting this tempo externally either via:
    • MIDI clock
    • external expression switch
    • MIDI CC reserved for setting the tempo

Personally, I am most interested in a global concept of tempo that can exist across preset changes. The NanoCortex’s four switches map nicely to a Clean/OD1/OD2/Pad setup, and I would really just like to be able to tap tempo across those presets.
