Hi!
I need your advice and opinions
I would like to loop atmospheric grooves with my Quad Cortex, but I find it very difficult.
So far I have a scene I use for percussive sounds, I stomp on the quad cortex looper and I start to play percussion on the guitar.
Afterwards I change the scene to a normal guitar sound and I start overdubbing.
But I’m not happy with the percussive sounds I get and I find it very hard to loop without a click.
Questions:
-
How would you set the EQ and what FX would you use to loop percussive grooves with an acoustic guitar that has a piezo?
-
What other ideas would you have to loop atmospheric grooves?
I’m considering connecting my phone, getting a click from there + setting up a microphone to get a more acoustic sound on my guitar…but all the stomps and all the lanes of my quad cortex are already used by my guitar the mics of my band colleagues…
Generally speaking I would really like to hear from your experiences with the Quad Cortex looper.
PS: I’m really really looking forward to finally having this metronome update!..
And I really hope the limited functionality of the quad cortex switches is soon enhanced. I’d love to program things like: click once = open looper one, click twice = open looper two
