iPhone USB audio to QC to Out 3/4

Hi, I tried searching the forum but couldn’t find a resolution. Is it possible to plug iPhone via USB into QC then output the audio to QC output jack 3/4 so that I can play backing tracks from phone to my speakers via output jack 3/4?

When iPhone connected to USB on QC the I/O settings page on QC shows audio being received by IN 1/2 but can for the life of me work out how to route it to output 3/4.

Please help techno geniuses!

Im definitely not a tech genius but went thru the same steps and ended up just changing my outputs to go via outputs 1/2 (of course you may need to buy new cables or an adapter to the XLR output to connect to your speakers). The advantage is that the iPhone signal is on these outputs as soon as you connect the usb and you don’t need to setup any specific lanes or routing on the grid.

Its ages since I went thru this and can’t remember why it was so problematic to route usb in to 3/4 but I never managed it - will be interested if some bright spark shows us where we are going wrong but I’m happy enough with my setup now and it’s nice not having to re-jig presets to include additional routing lanes for the usb signal.

Not being able to connect backing tracks etc via Bluetooth is the only real disappointment I have with the QC - seems a weird deficiency for such a high end equipment but ok ..

Shawn.

It doesn’t route to Out3/4 - you get Out 1/2 or headphone output with usb audio. It’s also in the manual. Adapters or XLR cables are your friend.
