Does anyone know if it’s possible to import preset xml files into the overlord synth from the Rabea X plugin?
I tried dropping them onto the virtual device presets of the synth in cortex control, then I tried adding the ones I’m interested in to the user folder in the Rabea-X plugin , no joy so far, am I missing something or am I trying to do what can’t be done? Maybe it’s just a case of re-creating the settings manually …
my USB is down presently so I can’t test it, but the procedure for user presets is to save them in the Plugin and then by connecting thru Cortex Control on your computer the User presets should automatically import. Then you could take the configurations of the Overlord synth and save them as user Device Presets on your QC. That’s how it should work, I believe. Just can’t test it right now. Bummer too, as I really want to import my synth settings.
I had trouble with importing the earlier Plugin presets because I had saved them as ‘DAW presets’ instead of using the internal Save function of the plugin itself.
Yeah, tried all that, both on wifi and using pc’s connection … nothing shows up. I thought your last sentence there might do the trick, I had been copying xml’ s. But no, maybe because the presets contain settings for the whole suite and not just the synth.
At least you can see the synth settings and replicate them … although for the sound you’re getting from the plugin I think you need to use the amps, eq, doubler etc ..
Anyway … there’s a clear window in now, I’m getting closer!
Yeah, sorry I can’t confirm- no USB presently and apparently that’s how you get the user presets transferred. When I retrieve my 2nd QC from the studio I should be able to advise; unless someone here beats me to it
I have been able to save a device preset in to user preset in the overlord synth by clicking the 3 white dots and using "save current parameters as… and it has worked and works every time and I have several user synth presets, but can’t figure out another or specific way to copy just overlord only presets cause I can’t find any in the plugin only full presets… But once you save it, it will be on your QC… I can import full user presets from rabea plugin over to the QC no problem drag and drop..
You can also right click the overlord synth in Coco and copy it at setting you like and change settings and if not to your liking or wanna go back just right click and paste..
If you drag and drop the preset you made and like the changes you made to the overlord synth… You can save it then when it’s on the QC as user preset in OVS on the QC like I described… And that’s all I could figure out
Where are you dragging from and to? And where do the presets show up afterwards?
I’m sure this is just me being dim!
I can only drag and drop to the left hand column of the virtual device presets menu, after which … nothing there!
Right clicking in CoCO only pops out ‘Assign to Scenes’ , right clicking in the plugin only pops out the Midi learn menu.
I have saved the presets into User , using the ‘save as’ from within the plugin, I’m connected via usb and wireless, but still no go.
I must be missing something obvious …
Hi Jonnix… You create a preset in the plugin give it a name and save it… After it is saved click the 3 white dots below in the pic when you do that youl see locate file so click that and it will bring to where your user presets get saved… Now you move to cortex control and click on directory then plugins and then you click the little arrow before Rabea name and that opens user/artists etc presets below…
Then choose user and when you do youl see a drag and drop box in Coco… Now go back to were you located the xml file for the preset you just made and drag and drop over the box in Coco and it will be saved to the QC… Now that’s the way I do it if there’s an easier way I haven’t figured it out…
Then when it’s on the QC you can go into that block and save the OVS as a user preset within the QC by clicking the 3 white dots and choose save as default user preset and name it and and save it will be saved to the overlord user presets list on the QC…
