I want my rabea synth in the x on my quad cortex pcom. I have been waiting since this ever came out and now i have the new coros and no rabea synths. I wanted to twist the dials, Im shattered!!!

Add the synths!!!

It’s been in there for a while! Was called monosynth but now is called atlas synth.

You already have it, bud. Monosynth is it, but it just got renamed to Overlord Synth.

TBH, I did not catch on either, at first. For some reason, I assumed the monosynth was a less capable version of the Rabea Overlord synth. I own the Rabea plugin, but never took the time to fully compare the two synths. I will say that the addition of block/device presets in CorOS 4.1.0 is super helpful. Now the Overlord synth on QC can quickly access all of the device-level presets from the plugin.

I’m not sure why NDSP did not make a bigger deal of the monosynth when CorOS 3.3.0 was released, since they were essentially giving some plugin capabilities to QC hardware owners for free. That is something that some QC hardware owners have requested for a while. They now have access to the Overlord synth, Glitch/Morph, and Multivoicer. I already owned those plugins, but I’m still happy to see it. It seems to be a good compromise without giving away the entire plugin for free.

for some reason, they did not add the synth as a ‘plugin device,’ like they have with all the other plugin components.

But as mentioned, the device is there on the QC- it actually has been for a long time, free for all users. They changed the name from Mono Synth to OVerlord with this update, but it’s the same device as from the Rabea X plugin, it just isn’t ‘packaged’ inside the PCOM ported bundle as it shows on the QC. This seems to have confused a quite a few users.

Looks like the only plugin devices they didn’t add for free outside of the PCOM port is the Laser from Mansoor and the Acoustic amp from Petrucci. (as far as devices that can’t really be duplicated on the QC already)

I don’t remember it that way; it was a pretty big deal then. Rabea himself did a video going through the Mono Synth when CorOS 3.3.0 came out:

Thanks, I think I remember watching this video late last year, but it still did not click with me that this was the same exact synth. Maybe it’s just my own mental block / bad assumption based on the fact that one (“Overlord”) seemed to be a branded device while the “monosynth” had a generic name. The UI is also a little different between the two, which makes sense since the monosynth was designed for CorOS on a touchscreen device.

Rabea does say in the video that it is “taken from” his Archetype plugin, but there is no explanation of why they changed the name. Anyway, it is all fixed now, with the names aligned between CorOS and the plugin.

Hi, we have the Glitch from Misha plugin, it’s a fun one !

I still want the Misha’s lasers and chaos but beside that I don’t need to buy any plugin, which is cool from NDSP !

We still need more freedom in footswitch configuration but the QC is already awesome.
