I know this has been requested somewhere, but like others I want to be able to create blank labels in Scenes, for Scenes that are unused.
One workaround that people have suggested, which I also use, is to use a full stop/period marker, so there’s nothing but a ‘.’ in the middle of the Scene label. This makes it look pretty uncluttered so it’s not a bad way of doing it but I’ve come across an improvement - which works on a Mac, so sorry if you’re a Windows user, you may have to find an equivalent.
What I’ve discovered is that if you’re using Cortex Control, you can add pretty much any character that is available on your keyboard to a Scene label. The computer keyboard has many more options than the QC keyboard, and the QC screen will take pretty much any of them, except the mighty ‘’ sign, if you have a Mac.
This is accessed by pressing Option + Shift + K at the same time (see below) and the beauty of it is, on the QC screen this just shows as a blank.
On the Cortex Control screen it will look like this…
which kind of looks like an , but on the QC you get this nice blank screen…
I still think it would be nice to be able to select a grey or black background for unused Scenes though…
