How many of you had Quad Cortex without issues for a longer period of time? Would really appreciate your input

Hi!

I know there have been many debates on this topic. I had the QC 2 years ago which I’ve sold after having some noise issues on the gig and getting it repaired.

Now I am really itching to get it again, because I am sick of Kemper, but the only thing keeping me back is the low confidence I have in the unit and its reliability.
So I would like to ask the community, for how many has the Quad Cortex been working flawlessly, especially for longer periods of time? Also has there been any improvements in the production of the units?

I know it sounds like a stupid topic, but I would really appreciate your input

I’ve had mine since feb 2022 with no problems at all.

I had mine for about 2 years and i’m always blown away with it! the noise issues can be fixed but you have to figure out the source of the noise first, like if it is from your pickups or cables ecc. i’ve had a couple of gigs where there was some noise due to some lights creating interferences, but nothing that you couldn’t handle. that being said, everyone has a different experience with it but i can tell you hands down it is one of the best if not the best modeler out there. hope this helps. just out of curiosity, what guitar are you using? and what pickups it mounts?

I had mine since the second batch of preorders and had no problems at all.
I used it every day with headphones and the original power supply and have had very little noise. I have an exceptionally silent bass, though, and generally use clean and edge-of-breakup tones.

About 3 years and no problems at all. Awesome device.

Owned since 3+ years and zero issues.

I have mine for three years and I had to send it to Neural once. I told them that I have gig in the coming days and they were kind enough to repair and sent it back just in time!
After that zero problems, I’m very happy with the reliability and the customer care

I received mine in March of 2021, and haven’t had any issues with it. I use mine primarily at home and going to jam sessions, so maybe not as hard used as some. But I play quite a bit at home.

I got my first QC in September 2021, and it started having firmware-related issues two months after that.

Neural priority-shipped to me (Finland to Seattle, USA in 48 hours) a second QC and it’s been rock solid ever since. 3+ years with the same unit. I’m happy.

got mine for a year now, gigs rehearshal and everything, no issues, except for the known limits

Took delivery of my QC in Sept 2022, no issues at all

3 years (my first QC) and 2 (my second unit).
No problems.

Coming up on 1 year here. Rock solid, no issues. Hesitant to upgrade to core os 3xxx from whatever I have shipped on it. I don’t use the plugins nor will I care to.

If it’s not broke, why “fix” it?

Bought first unit 1/2022. No issues so all but sold it in 3/2023 thinking I wanted to go with fractal. Missed it and purchased another unit 6/2023. No issues whatsoever. Sold FM9 and bought third QC last month. So now I can play with one and the other guitar player can too.

Granted I mainly use at home and take to jam sessions. So not going thru real rigorous stuff.

Two different units that both started doing the common issue where they won’t boot. First was after only a few weeks of studio use , second was after a year and a half of heavy touring. First unit was immediately replaced by Sweetwater. Second unit took a few weeks to be repaired by Neural.

I already have two of them, no problems whatsoever

The first of them had a slight problem with booting, I saw in a thread that the unit boots from a SD card in a small slot. I took the risk to open the unit, found the SD card, ejected it and inserted it again. No problem ever since.

Have gad mine for years. Keeps getting better. Idk if any other device can have such complex scenes and signal chains.

Welcome and please submit your own support request so threads don’t get unorganized. Thanks!
