High pitched noise

Hi. I just bought a second hand Nano Cortex. Unfortunately it has a hi pitched noise that is always present Very annoying, Is this because the PC doesn’t deliever enough power or anything else?

It’s changeing ever so slightley when I change banks, whatever else doesn’t seem to affect it?

Hello and welcome. There’s some key information missing in your post:

  • What power supply are you using?
  • How are you listening back to the device? Headphones, studio monitors, FRFR monitor, power amplifier and speaker cabinet, etc.?
  • Have you tried the ground lift?
  • Have you tried grounding the unit via a TRS cable to other audio equipment (mixer or studio monitors)?
  • Have you checked your cable(s) and even your instrument(s) to make sure they are not the source of the noise?

HI, I found out what it was: The PC didn’t deliever enoug power for it. Went away when I hooked it up to a powersupply. Thanks for helping.
