I’m using my NC straight into the front of my amp as a multi FX/noise gate. I prefer going into the front of the amp.
I’m finding it introduces significant noise vs just plugging straight into the amp. I’ve tried toggling the ground switch, which helps but there’s still significant noise floor increases.
Has anyone had this similar issue and knows how to solve?
This issue has not happened with me, and I have used it into the front of the amp as well.
Noise issues can often occur across all pedal types from improper power, so I would first inquire how your Nano is getting its requisite power. In my case, I use a Truetone 1SPOT power adapter, which is rated for 9V/1700mA. Since the Nano takes 9V/600mA, I’m more than well enough covered, and it goes into a Furman power bar (SS6B) which is what I use for pedals requiring adapters. In short: I make sure the pedal gets the correct power, and clean power at that from a grounded outlet.
So in your case, if there are any noise floor issues, I would first make sure that the unit is getting the correct power. Is this helpful?
So I’m using a CIOKS DC7 power supply so I’m hoping clean power to the NC itself isn’t the issue.
The NC straight into a power stage power amp wasn’t noisy, but then just using FX and noise gate on the NC into the front of the amp it raises the noise floor quite a bit.
Any further thoughts given the above comments? Thanks
