Genome 2 parametric captures

Has anyone else seen the new two notes Genome 2 modeling? Looks like they have a parametric modeling method the let’s you model the tone stack as well as the amp. Very cool stuff, isn’t this similar to the TINA modeling that Nueral uses? Seems like it could be a possible upgrade to thw V2 captures that were released last year.

This would be indeed cool. This way i dont have to take 10 captures for different settings

well, actually you still take different captures at different settings but at least it all gets rolled up into the GUI as one amp.

Ya and it looks like two notes spent a bunch of money to make sure everyone knows it out. With what Neural already does with TINA, I wonder if it would be possible to push the process into a V2ish V3 QC capture. I would love to be able to capture my amps like that.

The new Genome update is actually awesome

It IS the new NAM A2 tech running in the backend of the Parametric Captures (confirmed on the Gear Page by ArteraDSP)

All we need now is for Neural DSP to allow A2 captures to run on the Quad Cortex

I think they will have to at some point now multiple manufacturers small and large are getting on board with A2 tech, eg Fractal.

Even their A2-Lite, that runs on $3 embedded chips, rated above V2 Quad Cortex captures in their vast scientific listening tests.

I dont see Neural supporting NAM profiles. They already have their own capture tech. Maybe further develope their own further.

I was actually expecting v2 captures to have/give more control over what can be done when capturing… Do they sound great yes definitely, but they failed by not giving us the ability to capture the tone stack aswell, definitely v2 should have been a much more in depth procedure…

I think everybody will be using NAM A2s for recording in a couple of years,

and people are going to want hardware that runs the same tones they recorded.

Proprietary capture tech will be obsolete eventually (at least for snapshots),

my prediction anyhoot.
