just playing in my basement for fun…
In that case an FRFR isn’t really your optimal choice. It is not designed to give you an ‘amp in the room’ feel, it’s more of what you’d experience in a studio control room listening to your miked amp from a different isolated room.
You can tweak your setup to get the most out of an FRFR, but unless you’re gigging that may not be your best investment.
If you want amp-in-the-room feel and sound, then you need an AMP in your room.
Could be a power amp + guitar cab, and you’d use your QC as a preamp/fx unit. Or could be an amp head/cab and you could connect various ways to still be able to use your QC virtual amps. Lots of options, but it really sounds like you would not be best served by an FRFR which is basically a mini-PA. Those are more about not having to haul a ton of gear to gigs. Don’t get me wrong; I love the FRFRs I use but they don’t exactly replace the feel of tube amps if that’s what you’re going for.
it’s really shame that no one told that to me before i spend so much money on that setup…
Everyone did tell you the differences before in this thread haha. But if no one told you any of those differences when you initially bought the stuff than I’m sorry.
Unfortunately for guitar gear there are a lot of inexperienced people trying to give advice online. I’ve worked with so many bands that have bought terrible sounding gear because it was suggested from a YouTuber who was slightly convincing in their video.
