Free Online Tool to help deconvolve IR's for Acoustic Instruments (also has sweeps for cabs/verbs)

Hey all!

Link: https://dconvolve.com/

Recently went down a vibe-coding rabbit hole as I was attempting to create IR files for the acoustics in a folk band I play in as their DI signals were just super rough, especially in the in ears. Let me re-iterate, this is completely VIBE CODED. I am hoping some users here might take it for a spin and see how it breaks and maybe some of you will know more than me about deconvolution and catch some bad assumptions or moves i made!

When you first load the website you will be met with sweep mode. If you switch the mode to “manual” on the right, you will be in arbitrary musical signals mode. Here you can upload your acoustic guitar “di” and “microphone” signals. I have pre-populated the settings with settings I liked in some of my test cases- but this needs experimentation to get the best results.

As it is a free and vibe coded tool, it is only hosted on very basic server packages right now, so very sorry if it crashes!

Another note, when deconvolving things like guitar or fiddle etc. It really needs a thorough exploration of the fret board. I got good results by recording myself playing a pentatonic scale on fret 0, then fret 2, then fret 4 etc until about fret 14, a couple of strummed chords.. just a nice diverse sample of the instrument.

Let me know if anything breaks or fails or "looks wrong”. Really hope it helps a few people out!
