Hello all. I just noticed tonight while I was rehearsing for an upcoming gig that the ground lift button on the back of the nano toggles on and off when wiggled. To be clearer, when the ground lift which is pressed in if the button gets moved, it turns the switch off, allowing all of the ground to come through the unit and out of the output. When I first discovered the problem, I push the switch in and out a few times and on one occasion when the button was pushed in, there was still ground noise coming through as if it was off this concerns me because I have a gig in three weeks and I want to make sure that this doesn’t happen at the show. I have only had the unit for just under four months so this discovery is a bummer.I have a back up fractal rig then I’ll be bringing to the show, but I do have my heart set on using the nano.
That is a new one for me, you might want to see if you can RMA/replace it with your vendor you purchased it from, otherwise I recommend to email support@neuraldsp.com and see what their options are.
Unfortunately I am outside of the return window. It was purchased new from Sweetwater and they only allow 30 days for returns on new equipment. I’ve emailed Neural. Thanks.
I’m having funny behavior on my ground lift switch, too.
Running a TS cable on output 2, into the front of an amp, there is noticeable noise. Move to output 1, no noise. Many cables, power supplies and reset’s tested, problem persisted.
Determined the issue to be a flakey ground lift switch. Had to toggle it quickly for 10-15 seconds to degunk it. After the problem went away.
What I don’t understand:
I was using a TS cable what is ground lift switch doing?
