Are you confusing disk space and ram (system memory)?
Yes, filling a hard drive close to its maximum does yield weird results. Wouldn’t be surprised if maybe that played a part with the QC. The funny thing with QC is that you’d have to load a near infinite amount of IR’s to it to fill the storage. Would be surprised if anyone actually was able to file the storage on it
This is not the Ram. But you can check the memory
“CPU Monitor
The CPU Monitor shows you the overall CPU usage of the current
Preset at the top-right corner of the screen. Tap the Grid’s contextual
Menu and select CPU Monitor to open it.”
More than 20 GB of free space.
If we could only use it to record and play loops, or samples.
Will never happen. NDSP does not listen to it´s customers
I have loaded ~1500 captures, ~1800 IRs, and ~700 presets. I know the IRs and presets are small files. I’m not sure about the captures since they are handled in the cloud and we don’t get to see the files.
No matter what I do, I can’t seem to move the needle on disk space. From what I recall, it has stayed at 24.3G available. I wonder if this feature is broken, or if the file storage is on some other partition and this is available space for the system partition? If it is the latter, then why even show it to the user?
Definitely, the IRs are small, especially if the QC is only storing the truncated versions. The presets are probably small, too. I’m not sure about the captures.
By my rough calculations, everything I have loaded onto my QC should have added up to 0.1 GB, assuming the captures are roughly as big as an IR. If so, the last digit of the available space should have changed.
Maybe I am just short - this is my excuse to purchase more capture packs, for science!
