How to get identical volume levels for different presets

Hi all, I have a gig coming up, and there are quite a few presets I wanna try. It’s going to be chill jam session so I wanna see what my QC is capable of=) Anyway, before the show I wanna get almost same output level for all presets. I mean I don’t want my clean tones go unnoticed. So what is the proper way to do it? Should I trust my ear? Should I record them in DAW and try to see if there’s huge difference in volume? Thanks!
