I agree, they already have our money.
But they should move their *ss if they want our future money !
I won’t necessarily sell my QC when the Stadium will be available, but I plan to NOT buy anything else from NDSP anytime ‘SOON’.
I don’t care about their ‘announcements’ (like in August 2024, when Fransisco Cresp said “synth will be available on the QC in 1 month, 1 month and a half - don’t quote me on that -” and now, June 2025 there’s still no Synth on the QC), I just want what they promise when I bought my QC in December 2021 : new amp/effects/feature for FREE.
The 3.2 release have to be BIG (i’m not talking about PCOM) , otherwise I see a lot of people selling their QC , which would be bad for all of us , because more 2nd hand QC = less new QC sold = less cash for NDSP = less money for the dev team and the research team.
They do have our money, but you cannot operate a business based on that principle. Think about it, with some decent updates the QC could have many, many more sales and be around for years. Heck it still sells LOTS. At this point I just hope things start to pick up with it. It’s an already awesome device with so much more untapped potential
I don’t understand people wanting the signal to sum to mono when only one output is connected. You’ll most likely get phasing from the stereo effects. The left output is always designated as the one to use for mono operation when going from a stereo source anyways. A feature request like that is just derived from people not knowing how to properly use audio gear. This is the case with nearly every piece of studio gear that has stereo effects for the past 30-40 years at least. Every basic guitar pedal is set up in this way as well.
The only scenario I could see this being weird is with a ping pong delay.
I think the hardware change is probably a big factor in the delays too but yeah it’s not encouraging, I think most assumed plugin compatibility would have happened a year or so after release at most not 5+
I don’t buy the “they already made the sale so they aren’t obligated to update” all that stuff should be factored into the price.
You look at the list, of the promises, almost none were fulfilled, midi implementation to this day, to be bad needs to improve a lot, they focused on paid DLC, so whoever bought and doesn’t want to use the plugins was left with only promises that never come to fruition
No flags, nobody breaking rules, no personal attacks etc., this is how to have a discussion
“they focused on paid DLC” making statements like that is subjective. NDSP has stated multiple times they have development teams for both QC/Nano and plug-ins.
I’m very interested in the stadium but I think the big thing that will make or break the stadium for me is the feel of the proxy captures or clones… whatever they will call them.
The QC captures just feel so awesome to play. Weirdly in some cases they feel more satisfying to play than the amp!!
I have a Revv G50 and it’s soo easy to capture using the two notes output into the QC. And the results have been incredible.
We’ll see how well the captures on Line 6 feel… which unfortunately won’t be able to test at launch which makes me a little uncertain about it
You say one thing, and Neural does another. This time it must have been deleted because of the many comments. I’ve seen several simply disappear because they criticized Neural’s extreme slowness in delivering what was promised. Since this one has many responses, simply deleting it would make the censorship that Neural imposes on its forum extremely evident. I like the product, but unfortunately the company has stopped in time. And if we came to criticize it precisely because we want to improve the product, today I only want what is on the list of promises, without any inventions or exuberant requests. But you yourselves promised and have not delivered to this day. Just give us a date for function X by day… function Y by such and such a day. But the silence and censorship are annoying.
1.) I don’t work for NDSP, I volunteer as a moderator.
2.) Again, threads/comments may be deleted if they break the forum rules. So far, nobody has broken any rules which is why this thread is still active.
3.) As a QC owner, I would like to see the QC updated as much as anyone else.
4.) Nobody on this forum (outside of NDSP staff) is aware of delays and or sources/reasoning of those delays so its best to avoid using verbiage that is subjective. If you want to be subjective, please do so on another forum to avoid any conflict.
If you are looking for a development roadmap as many are, I suggest emailing the company and request the high-level information. Requesting here on this forum will likely just make you more annoyed as they likely won’t see it. Remember, this forum was established mainly to help one another out and collaborate on different ideas without much (or any) interaction directly from NDSP.
I understand that you’re a volunteer moderator and not part of the NDSP staff — I respect and appreciate the work you do in keeping the forum organized and within the rules.
That said, I find it very discouraging to hear that NDSP likely doesn’t monitor this forum or take the time to engage with the community here. This is a key space for feedback, constructive criticism, and discussion from real users who genuinely care about the future of the Quad Cortex. Dismissing that feedback — or telling users to “take it elsewhere” if it’s subjective — only adds to the growing frustration.
There’s no reason for this thread to be deleted; it’s respectful and focused on concerns that many of us share. Still, the fact that users often feel the need to censor themselves or fear deletion is not a good sign. Out of caution, I’ve taken screenshots as a backup – not because I expect backlash, but in case this gets deleted I need to continue this discussion or raise awareness on other platforms. I’m not interested in stirring drama, I just want transparency and engagement.
Quad Cortex is an incredible product with huge potential, and we all want to see it thrive — but it needs a community that feels acknowledged, not ignored.
I think we are in agreement for the most part and want to see the same end results.
Note that when I say take the subjective tones to another forum, I am speaking of those who specifically say things that are unfounded and or act like they are speaking on NDSP’s behalf. Regardless, thanks for your kudos and feedback!
Ive been saying this for years. Consider the original promise to wait-listers… If you own our desktop suites, you WILL be able to load them when the units ship.
I understand you do not care about this, but It was the original carrot.
Now, Its just more of the same BS from a company that never put honesty at the top of the list.
I just watched the new Helix Stadium promo.
I am actually blown away. It’s like EVERYTHING we have ever wanted and more has come with L6. I am done waiting around for NDSP to get it together. I just am too tired of waiting around. Not to mention - the QC is noisy and not really worth the money compared to Fractal and L6.
Every other major competitor listens to their customers and participates to some degree in forums/social media etc…Where are these guys? Nowhere to be found. Its really absurd. No communication, besides the usual BS. They really have zero credibility out there. Pretty sure my QC is gone also. Never thought I would say this. Fk it already
Thanks @t2t2 , you perfectly summarized my thought !
@MP_Mod : Please, forward this thread to someone at NDSP that has the power to do something, we (users) should not have to spam support@neuraldsp.com with concerns that will likely be not understood/forwarded to the right person. This thread is a good summary of the general feeling, and is invaluable for NDSP.
Didn’t watch so much the promo just few seconds and it seems to have something like a playback thing… don’t know what it will be but i wanted to use the Cymatic Audio LP-16 with the QC but it seems people who tried have problems to make it work. (cause of midi problems ?)
As i said i didn’t look much at the stadium (really want the QC to be what it should) but it could be the all in one thing that i wanted (bought the QC for that, sound card, synth, little etc etc.)
+1 for the noisy part, this i try to not think about and hope very much it gets better with
Good luck! And thanks for your contributions! The new Helix looks good so far and hope it works out for you. It’s great to have multiple choices for everyone’s workflow! I’m sure the next shinny gear with even more bells and whistles is just around the corner
