Customizing footswitches is the highest requested feature in the forum. Your specific request may be for switching modes specifically, but the larger consensus is that users want “the whole kitchen sink” in terms of being able to assign anything anywhere. Check here:

Hold & Secondary Functions for foot switches

HOLDING a foot switch down and having it assigned to a different block would be absolutely INCREDIBLE. On my main preset, I’m out of stomp switches and could use access to a couple of more blocks, even if they were HOLDing down a switch to toggle it. That would actually be perfect for blocks I don’t use as much and Holding a stomp would keep me from accidentally toggling it when it isn’t specifically needed. I’m really hoping they implement this.
