I like to switch between scenes and stomp modes throughout the night, but it never fails I don’t hit the two buttons perfectly and it sends me to another preset. I never use the tap tempo button, can you make a setting to allow us to customize the tap tempo button to be used for switching modes. So a short press will cycle (stomp mode, presets mode, scenes mode) and a long press goes to the tuner as normal.
Hello,
Customizing footswitches is the highest requested feature in the forum. Your specific request may be for switching modes specifically, but the larger consensus is that users want “the whole kitchen sink” in terms of being able to assign anything anywhere. Check here:
I know it sucks to add an external pedal to the QC but the midi baby single switch pedal works great for this. I’ve been using it to switch between scene and stomp mode at gigs for almost 3 years now.
I appreciate your feedback, but I am not looking for what that post is requesting, and if they just add the ability to customize the eight foot switches that will not help in what I am looking for.
I want a global setting to reassign the tap tempo foot switch, which in the request you provided would likely be out of scope. That request is to add long press and hold functionality. I am being far more specific with a simple setting.
That’s likely the route I am going to go, but then I also need to power that external pedal. If I had my QC on a pedal board that would be a simple solution, but as a stand alone it would be less than optimal.
Fair enough. But be sure to use the search function with keywords like “footswitch”, “assign”, etc., there’s a sea of requests for every flavor of footswitch assignment imaginable. I’m a little jaded after seeing these (and countless others which were closed for being a repeat of an existing thread) for the 3 years I’ve been in the forum.
