what are your favourite tricks/settings/presets for crazy sounds like e.g. atmospheric granular reversed delay or transformation of your guitar/bass into another instrument like a synth, cello, sitar or organ?
I’ve been working on this one for a song where I switch from drums to Tenor Guitar. It uses a viola IR and trem to create a faux string after-effect. Other scenes clean it up a bit or wack it out even further. XP takes the delay and reverb into self-oscillation.
Also pretty happy with how this turned out (Strymonesque Parallel Delays with SubHarm Synth creating a faux bassline on the lowest 2 strings)
Okay, admit that I got things mixed a little bit up around @mpierson presets, and exaggerated. Thought I’d tried more than a few of them, turns out I hadn’t, and I apologize for that. Yet Now I’ve downloaded the lot and turns out most are actually cool weird. Too few have checked them out unfortunately, so give it a try.
thank you guys for the very kind words here. I never know if the stuff that amuses me so much translates OK to other setups; glad to hear at least some of them work for others too.
Off to check out some of these other suggestions now- thanks @kNow2
Hey man, learned a lot from your presets @xush and just experimented, so again; thanx again. To prove it just check out (or not) how many of my presets contain your captures. The source of creativity works in its own mysterious ways, it always just pops up, works through you and sometimes “Big badaboom”
Speaking of which, here’s my two absolute all time fav @xush presets:
