Hello fellow Quad users.Im new to the forum and a quad cortex owner.As mentioned in the topic I ve been desperately trying to recreate Matthias Jabs tone both Rhythm and Lead (song like Rock you like a hurricane,Still loving you)but with no avail.Been listening to all albums,rig rundowns but still no good results.
I using an ibanez Rg550 Genesis Collection with JB Sh4 trembucker(bridge) and an FRFR 112 Headrush speaker.
Could anyone give me pointers or even share a preset if possible?
The typical JCM800 models and captures should suit you perfectly.
I know Matthias Jabs used JCM800 back in day and Marshall 4x12 cabs with celestion
v30 drivers ,and he even used Soldano.But i cant make it work using the Brit2023 block.I even used chatgtp to help but it doesnt real replicate the tone.Its driving me nuts🤣

I also couldn’t get the tone with the marshall amps has the had to much bottom end even with eq added, I did get very close with the soldano amp plugin that’s compatible with QC, when I get home i’ll upload the preset

Sorry mate I forgot and not home yet, I’ve just put together a basic tone to get very close to his tone without clean and no effects. hopefully you can wait a little longer til I get home and hopefully you have the slo plugin that’s compatible. I’ve DM you anyways. if you don’t have the plugin ill quickly make another with a stock amp. Sorry for the delay
