I installed 3.3.0 and am loving it so far. I immediately went to the synth, turned on the arp, set the pattern to up/down, set the scale to Major with 1/3/5/7/8 notes, and played the Stranger Things theme. It is almost required.

One concern I have… I have bought a ton of QC amp captures Amalgam, Tone Junkie, etc. over the past year and was planning to buy more with the Black Friday sales. Those would all now be “V1” captures, and I can’t help but wonder how much better “V2” amp captures will sound. It sort of puts vendors in an awkward position. It would be a ton of work to recapture everything and convert their catalog to V2. They might also hit the monthly V2 conversion limits, even with multiple QC devices and accounts.

Should we wait (hold off on new purchases) and see what happens? Should we not care because V2 is more for compressors and V1 is “good enough” for amp captures? Thoughts?

Amp too.

V1 are good, but V2 on pa crank Is Better for example

At the risk of embarrassing myself, what is “pa crank”?

V2 is ridiculously good. Can confirm.

Try it with your favorite drive pedal. The results are identical! Big DSP hurdles though…

The new modulation and bit crush effects are awesome! Really easy way to replicate your favorite chase bliss stuff!

Will my old presets update to the V2 captures or should I reset my QC to as new and start over with my presets?

Old presets will not automatically update with V2 captures. You would need to do that manually.

Also, I’ve seen some confusion online already about V1 vs. V2 captures:
Existing V1 captures cannot be converted to V2. You would need to redo the capture process entirely if you want V2.

No one is suggesting that you completely reset your QC to default settings and erase any existing presets you already have.
