CorOS 3.2.0 and Cortex Control 1.3.0 are now available!

I done 2 separate tracks one with the plugin and one with the QC…. It’s about plugging in and just playing… I found that both glitched but in different ways..abd I preferred one over the other and enjoyed using more especially for fast country licks… but which is which is interesting to me… and interesting what people hear and perceive

Got lost in conversation and things that have been said I’ve probably gone off topic by a lot so apologies everyone if it’s annoyed any of you

Nice! Yeah I can tell Hypertune is 1 and Transpose is 2. The warbly glitchy artifacts of transpose are pretty easy to tell on that one, where the Hypertune one has clearer chords with a nicer clarity to them. Transpose darkens the tone and makes chords sound a lot cloudier or mushy from the pitch shifting glitching

Interesting what you hear and perceive, thanx but also what one you prefer… to me the no2 sounds better and less artifacts and warble… but I also think it’s very even

Appreciate you doing the experiment between them! I’m probably more sensitive to the different pitch shifters, since I’ve used a lot of them through the years. Transpose sorta does what the EHX Pitchfork does where it makes the guitar sound slightly underwater. Assuming you might perceiving it as a warmer sound, which might be why you prefer it. Unfortunately it also adds to the chords not having much clarity and sounding pretty mushy.

Great job showing the comparison though!

They were listened to 13 times so I’ll wait and if anyone else has a thought on them.

Also if your used to the sounds of things you will prob be able to tell by sound of it.. If that’s what it is

I like 2 but I think they probably could both sit in a mix OK with a pretty clean take.

I think it boils down to preference personally cause to me testing and listening they both got glitching sounds but in different places whether that’s frequency or just in the Algorithm the 2 of them use..thanx for given opinion

I don’t mind Youtube reviews, but ideally you’d get someone who bought it and is also cynical enough to not try to defend one’s own purchase by singing its praises. A grumpy middle aged dude with disposable income.

2 Is QC 100% with lemon

And not because i have 50% of probab.

2 Is QC and stop.

Huh? Assuming there’s a typo in there

Speaking of transpose/pitch shifting, has anyone compared the quality and speed of the Eventide H90 with the Quad Cortex?

I would love to know. Haven’t gotten to try the H90 somehow yet

H90 does great transpose/pitch shifting, and with the recent update they also added separate vocal effects like VocalShiftMIDI and Quadravox+. It also has great synths and polyphony along with pitch fuzz, overdrives and distortion. I just take the signal from the cortex (send 1), send it to the H90, and from there the stereo signal goes to the Zoom L20. I don’t really like setting up a loop in the cortex, so I use this scheme more often.
