Confused about the split/mix function

I’m trying to use a common reverb for two different inputs, but can’t make it work. Maybe it’s me?

Here’s the case:

  • Row A has guitar on input 1 and use all 6 blocks, with no room for reverb.
  • Row B has mic on input 2 and use only 4 blocks, reverb being the last in chain.

So I need the guitar chain to «tap into» the reverb on row B, but just the reverb, none of the other blocks.

Rows C an D are dedicated to return 1 and 2 (drum machine and external looper).

I just cannot make a split from row A to include only the last block on row B. Any help appreciated.

So you want to mix your guitar and mic at the end of the chain in front of reverb? If you split Row A into Row B then the split becomes the new input and you lose input 2.

What you could do is flip it around, then mix (the opposite of split)

  • Put input 2 and 4 blocks on Row A put reverb at the end
  • Put your input 1 and 6 blocks on Row B
  • Mix Row B into Row A in front of the reverb (the M in the splitter)

OK, Great. I’ll give it a try. Thanks a lot.

or put the Transparent Blend before the reverb you want to share and set its input to the last block on the guitar Row.

Really. That’s even better!

Transparent blend does the trick.
