While you can get great sounds and tones using the compressors loaded in the quad cortex, the options are somewhat Limited when it comes to this aspect of dsp.
Being able to profile compressors, like STL controlhub, would enable anyone from guitarist and bases to vocalist and keys players to further refine their tone by profiling their specific compressor and/or compressor settings and use that in their tone.
Example. Let’s say that part of my signature bass sound in my Productions requires me to run a chain of compressors with mixed settings at varying levels per device. I can either choose to profile each compressor individually and dial it in on the quad cortex, or I could profile that specific chain of compressors and just load that up in my preset.
Another aspect of profiling compressors that can be implemented per capture is the THD of the compressor or compressor chain, or the exclusion thereof, increasing the possibility of tones that can be captured using the profiler.
The quad cortex is already great at capturing amplifiers, pedals, and full rigs, and this can level it up greatly when it comes to studio and live use.
