Hey,
the new Quad Cortex should be shipping now. Did you receive yours?
So many questions…
What are the main hardware and software differences between the old and new one?
Are there pictures were the inside of the old and the new Quad Cortex is compared?
I heard the new Quad Cortex will have less power consumption? How much?
Will it have a better WiFi antenna?
Will it be lighter?

Well, hopefully. WiFi on the original was terrible.
Neural already explained the differences. The units are identical from a user perspective except for the a new audio codec from ESS and an associated setting.

The wifi on the new units is definitely better for one thing

I think I will buy the new QC with new ESS codec at the end of this year (if I can get one), so I might take some photos or make a short clip.
Also, I’m using PD charger to power the QC, I will see how much current it consumes.
Old QC consumes up to about 24W(12V2.0A) in the boot, 18W(12V1.5A) in a stable state, which varies slightly depending on the display brightness.

Also i’ve heard on the new one every plugin on the market is available straight away and the QC makes excellent coffee with just one button push!

In what evidence do you base your statement?

How annoying I’ve just bought one in the UK and I bet it’s an old one.
Doesn’t matter. From a users perspective everything will be the same.

Agreed, I haven’t heard anything about the wifi module being changed, updated and or modified in any way from support.

I bought a 2023 and 2025 QC, and their internals are quite different.
I asked NDSP about it, they said its still the same sound but personally i felt 2023 analog converters are more warm. i did an A/B comparison for XLR out and USB
for USB its 1-1 identical
but for XLR out, 2023 was warmer somehow.
