I’d like to suggest a few improvements to make finding and comparing captures on Cortex Cloud easier.
The sheer number of captures can feel overwhelming, especially when many have little or no description. It’s often difficult to understand exactly what was captured, how it was captured, or which settings were used.
1. A structured capture information form
It would be useful to have a standard form when uploading a capture, with essential fields such as:
Exact amp or pedal model and channel.
Gain, EQ, master volume and other relevant settings.
Whether it is a direct capture or includes a cabinet and microphone.
Cabinet, speakers, microphones and mic placement, where applicable.
Any pedals, boosts, load boxes or other equipment used in the signal chain.
Additional notes about the capture process.
This information should be clearly visible on the capture page and ideally searchable or filterable. An optional photo of the amp/device settings would also be helpful.
I’m in support of adding more fields for users to fill out. But I absolutely do NOT think it should be mandatory in order to upload a capture publicly.
well mandatory is a hard word but at list the form in the same way we fill up name an instrument, should at least fro me be really usefull to full fill the number where the knobs where fixed when doing the capture or another aditional elements, right now it is to little space to fill this up. I am already lost between all my captures they are not published but dont rememeber anymore the settings
