Hello everyone..
I’m either doing something very wrong or Nano Cortex manual suggestions are missing something.
So, please help me out. If this subject is discussed before, I’m sorry about that but I could not find anything. So here it goes..
I have connected my guitar to the input of Nano Cortex, I connected the Capture Out Of Nano Cortex to my Vox AC 10 C1 input, then I miked the speaker with an SM57 and connected the mike’s XLR cable to NC’s Capture Input. Am I OK so far?
Then, I checked the levels by playing my guitar and looking at NC’s level meters. Once the levels were steady green without clipping ( I never saw clipping or could not even get it to clip ) I thought the input gain levels were good to go. I set output level around -0.1db ( a hair below 0db ) and started the capture process. First of all, capture sounds were way too loud but I thought it was necessary to get the amps’ break up capture. However, the capture process was cut short with an error saying the levels were too hot event though input gain never went in to red. I had to repeat the process 10 times by lowering the input gain a little more each time. I was able to finally get a capture when nput gian levels were in blue color which was described as too low in the user manual.
So, what am I missing?
How can I capture the amp with edge of break up? Or.. at different levels?
How Can I correct the input gain levels?
Is the amp capture process always that loud?
Thanks for any help.
