Can Nano Cortex process guitar and vocal mic simultaneously (standalone)?

Hi,

I’m considering using the Nano Cortex at home to practice singing and playing guitar at the same time, without an external mixer, DAW, or vocal pedals.

The unit has a main instrument input and a capture input (XLR/TS), so my question is:

  • Can the Nano Cortex process two audio sources simultaneously in standalone mode (e.g. guitar on the main input and a dynamic vocal mic on the capture input)?

  • If so, are both signals routed through the internal signal chain and mixed to the outputs, or is the capture input strictly limited to Neural Capture use?

  • Is any independent routing or basic processing (e.g. reverb only on vocals) possible without using a computer?

Thanks in advance for any clarification.

The answer is no, there is only one signal path for the Nano. The Nano’s capture input cannot be used for anything other than captures (at the moment, though there are requests in this forum for making it useful in an FX loop context).

That said, what you are describing can easily be done with a Quad Cortex.
