I’m pretty new to the nano cortex and i’m still learning it. but I have a few questions
Before that a brief about what im trying to achieve:
I’ve recently tried using the nano cortex for live vocals. what I realized quickly is the the capture port cant be used for live vocals, and it has to go through the input like a guitar input would go, So I used a xlr - quarter inch jack converter to connect to the input,
I got a few preset captures through the cortex cloud app two of them that I tried are mantra and rat vocals.
I used rat vocals since it sounded more open and added reverb for main vocals and reverb + delay + compression on it and i thought it sounded good until i did a soundcheck with an engineer with the entire band, (vocals are a mix of cleans/screams/raspy all using the same two effects, one with reverb and another with reverb+delay).
During the sound check session he said that the vocal input is too thin and he has to raise it a lot and it doesnt sound that good compared to using the raw mic input.
1.My question is has anyone here used it for live vocals?
2. Would it even perform good in a live setting and am I wasting my time?
If anyone has any inputs on this, it would be highly appreciated as I love the effects that I hear from the nano but I also want to be able to use it live.
