Are plugins sellable?

I did a search but it came up with a lot of unrelated results. And i trust google AI about as much as my ex. I bought 5 plugins for the sole purpose of using them on the quad which I no longer have. Is there a way to sell plugins that will never get used? A couple never got ported.

No, plug-in licenses are not transferable.

Use them with your DAW, they’re awesome.

EDIT: I stand corrected, I guess plug-in licenses can be transferred. But I defiintely think it’s weird that people would purchase a plug-in only for the QC and then later complain about paid DLC. The whole point of a plug-in in the first place is to use it with a DAW.

Actually thats incorrect. I just got a email from neural. You can work private deals with people and sell the transfer the ilok license to another user for a $25 fee per license or a package for a reduced rate to transfer multiples. And I dont have a DAW. And I even said I solely bought them for the quad cortex and have no use for them anymore.

The only plugin licences that cannot be transfered are plugins you may have got free for buying the cortex as they are non paid for promotions. But thanks for chiming in.

Administrative cost? Not very likable…

Yes, you can transfer licenses. I did so with one of mine, no problem.

Good to know thanks… I have a few I don’t use and should look in to selling them.

Thanks

There used to be a Facebook Group for selling them but I’m not sure it’s still around

The purpose for buying a plugin is for whatever the person is going to use it for. I bought a quad for the purpose of running plugins. If I ever complained about anything in regards to price it was that nothing of noteworthy was being updated in tandem with the plugins. And if the only point to buying a plugin is for using it in a DAW then PCOM should never have become a thing. I think you underestimate how many people were drawn to the quad because they would be able to use the plugins. Not everyone was an early adopter. But I had it long enough to figure out that If I wanted anything new worth having, I was going to have to pay for it. Either way, you were wrong and that’s all your post really needed to be edited to say.

And you gotta get used to the fact the despite your inability to ever criticize the company or be displeased with anything they ever do, white knighting for them makes those who are questioning things also questioning why you dont play more and are so worried about other people. Especially when even on an unrelated topic where you are simply wrong you have to somehow make a jab to save face. Its ok to be wrong. And you dont need to start cross thread drama over it. So, lets not ok?

Good grief, why do you feel the need to write a novel every time you post?

You know I had a headrush prime b4 I got the QC… I don’t go on that forum anymore and don’t feel I need to… why because I don’t own one anymore. It always seems odd once peeps have moved on they would feel the need keep posting here.

Because I know it bothers the people who cant read paragraphs and because it seems to take more words than usual to get you to understand anything exists beyond your own beliefs.

I still own the plugins. This thread is about plugins. And I am holding on to them until I decide whether or not If I will come back to the quad or not. And just like the other guy what seems odd to you is just an average day for some. I find it odd everyone is so concerned about what they say or do when it has no effect on them at all. So the answer to you question amounts to a simple “we are not the same”.

No problem, you were looking to sell them and said you had no use for them since you don’t have a quad cortex anymore…so just like you I’m not you and we’re not the same and like you I’m just saying what I feel…:heart:

I get that. But the reason I responded again is because someone edited their response with remarks that if he didnt want addressed he should have just left his post alone instead of making insinuations and assumptions. What I or anyone else chooses to buy for what purpose is no one elses business. And what he said was completely inaccurate. Seemed his edit warranted a response. So I responded.
