The pull deep is what makes it sound so unique and would complete a lot of folk’s setup with this model. The JP2C Rhythm channel is great for the iic+ but the iic++ mod is so special and unique in its sounds!
Either the amp model or plugin compatibility on QC would be great!
All plug-ins are supposed to become compatible with the QC eventually. This includes the Mesa Mark IIC+ plug-in. It’s just taking a long time to implement.
I am anxiously waiting for that plug-in. I do enjoy the amp based plug-ins over the artist based plug-ins
Well aware of all of that–it’s my top favorite NDSP plug-in and the one I’m looking forward to the most for PCOM.

I just want to say that I always appreciate the input of @DiffractionCircuit , he’s very knowledgeable about a lot of aspects of the QC and plugins, and also about electrical engineering in general. I’ve gotten some great info from him over the past couple of years.
Now, subsequent to Neural’s announcement this week, they’ve made a change to how the plugins are tagged on the website. They are listed as Compatible, Soon, To Be Confirmed, or Desktop Only. How soon is Soon? Anybody’s guess!
agreed, @DiffractionCircuit is a huge asset to this forum. He covers a lot of ground for us!
Since the IIC+ plugin isn’t getting ported and the fact the model was on the 2020 release day devices, can we finally have it added as a model on the QC? I’d buy the plugin but I’m not using my $1700 QC as an audio interface.
You already have the JP2C which is that amp, and the John Petrucci plugin is also a 2C+. It’s like if people were asking for a 5150 when it exists in free models and Nolly, etc.

It’s JP’s idea of what a modernized IIc+ should be. The JP2C in the QC doesn’t have all the push/pull controls or the simulclass/classA switch.
It’s not the same amp. If it were, Gibson wouldn’t have reissued the IIC+ and IIC++ when the JP2C exists?

They could just add those amps from the plugins as free devices.
Remember, the IIc+ was on the 2020 release day device list.
I wonder if this means they need to work out licensing with Gibson now. Gibson has been historically not very cooperative on such things. I hope I am wrong cause this is one the big ones I am hoping for.

Do they have to do any licensing to just release 2SEA-P and SEA-PP models? No. Just don’t use the MeBo name and you’re good.
The circuits are so basic that they cannot be copyrighted. And any patent for the IIC+ made in the mid 80s would have expired 20 years ago. Wow, now I feel old!
Yeah! I want them on my QC too. As soon as they become available, I’ll buy them.
