Is there a preset or how can I create one on the Quad Cortex that sounds like the “Tremodulator” algorithm from the Eventide H9?
Thanks
I’m not familiar with that one, and can find no reference online to see what it sounds like.
If you can link a video or at least describe the effect I can try to whip something together if there’s not already a preset on the Cloud with those flavors. (I like a challenge)
At around 35:25 in this video link, you can hear how this effect sounds in action.
Here’s the effect description:
Tremodulator Effect (Eventide)
The Tremodulator is an effect available in the Eventide H9 (and other Eventide devices) that combines tremolo and panning modulation.
What it does:
Tremolo = rhythmic modulation of volume (like a “volume wave”)
Panning = moves the signal left and right in the stereo field
A LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) controls how the volume and panning oscillate (waveforms like sine, triangle, square, etc.)
Main Parameters:
Parameter Function
Speed / Rate The speed of the modulation (e.g. 1 Hz = 1 cycle per second)
Depth How much the volume or panning changes
Shape LFO waveform shape (sine, triangle, square, etc.)
Stereo Phase Offset between Left and Right channels – controls stereo width
Mix Wet/dry blend between the effect and the original signal
If you could put together an algorithm that replicates this kind of effect, I’d really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Frezz
I think that description is achievable, pretty much-
but I don’t see the vid link, I’d really like to hear the effect to attempt duplicating it
Sorry, my mistake — I wrote everything but forgot to include the link. Please skip to around 35:25 in the video. Link: https://youtu.be/p_SIC2qduZ4?si=nRMoBSGVzCbCNVdJ
ok, checking it out. I see the “tremoloPan Square Chopper” and then Vibrato- not sure which part would be the “Tremodulator.”
I think the TPan chopper would be fairly easy to recreate. Hope to take a crack at it tonight, weekend was crazy
(I really like the ‘Undulator’ that comes next in the vid. I think I’ve got a couple pretty close to that.)
Hi,
The effect can be heard in the video
exactly from 35:24 to 35:51.
Tnx

I heard the sound demo. It’s something that can be easily replicated with an Empress Zoia.
You can try putting a tremolo block on two different lines in the QC but I doubt you would be able to get the same deliberate stereo chopping effect (one side “high” while the other side is “low”).
Tnx ,I tried with tremolo if I can get it.
I connected Eventide after Cortex and there’s it q that for now.
