A kickdrum sound (without the snare and high-hat sounds added) would be a valid option for kick accompaniment for solo artists. Set the tempo and mute/unmute with an external footswitch. Would be a perfect setup for some. What do you think?
The “Mumford and Sons” setting?
Heck yeah. It would be super simple to implement too. I was actually surprised it wasn’t an option after I installed the update.
It wouldn’t be difficult at all to implement a simple drum machine or sequencer using the touch screen. You could even include your own samples and backing tracks via Cortex Control or the smartphone app. (Send via Wi-Fi.)
I was hoping this could be accomplished with the quantize feature (setting bar length to 1), but alas, it still just does 1 kick and 3 hihats.
I would like to expand this with a few other “real” drum options and perhaps even the option to upload a sample and use that, for ultimate flexibility.
Hi, vote for this good and old feature request ![]()

This does a basic kick / snare / hi-hat.
Make sure to use the IRs also.
My QC is in my rehearsal room so I cannot check now, but I think you can just use kick sounds by tapping on the points of the metronome, right?
Hi Andy, you are correct. Through the tempo menu, there are 6 sound options that include 2 drum kit kicks. They do a basic 1, 2, 3, 4 or subdivision of that.
My approach is quite different in where you can pluck your guitar strings, that triggers a kick/snare/hi-hat sound (by using synth + drum samples as impulse response). This allows you to do any beat/rhythm which I use in loops and jam against.
