Using a second audio interface (DAC) in real time with the Quad Cortex?

Are you using Mac or windows? On windows you can only use one device unless find some way to aggregate. Think it’s easier on Mac to do that. What I usually do is run a DI box which also splits the signal, one to the interface and one to QC and FRFR. Once the DI is recorded into the DAW I’ll remap later through USB using the QC as the interface. I think it’s also better recording the DI straight with your current interface because the ins and outs and converters are better than QC I.e. you’ll get a somewhat better DI.

Since I don’t use more than one device for either input or output (one is input, the other is output), I not really doing aggregation. I just sent the input to the QC and the output to Big Knob.

Hi folks, and thanks for responding.
I’m on a Mac, using Logic Pro, Focusrite Clarett 2Pre USB and the QC.
I may have to use a DI…seems like I shouldn’t have to tho. I’ll be hacking at it more. Any ideas are welcome.

This kind of feature would solve all these issues:

AKAI Force has something like that so you can hook up 24 channels of digital I/O - ADAT/MADI/SPDIF/etc. via available interfaces.
