A tone matching feature like in the axe fx 3 would be very cool. You play a track/sweep/reamp/live playing on your input and the device compares it to your current signal chain and creates an IR to match the eq curve of the input signal. Basically like a capture, but more flexible
Hello and welcome. We have a few feature requests already for tone matching and/or EQ matching:
I’ve se in the past another device with this function, basically trough usb you can share a guitar tone with de device and the it generates s preset that emulates that tone, maybe could be something like, you know the whole gig of some special tone (amp, cab, effects, etc) but you don’t know hoy to set up each, may you can use this function on the QC, to fix the tone and replicate the tone. This function already exist on the axe fx II and III.
Now I completely understand that in effect, the capture process will match an EQ source. However, it is a standalone feature that does not allow you to match a current signal to a reference signal, but rather seeks to recreate a sound from scratch.
EQ matching is incredibly useful for many purposes - not the least of which is adding a final level of perfection to a capture (the Kemper uses “refine” for this, and the Axe FX has it’s tone match), or allowing you to match a reference sound either …
Yes please, this is a much needed feature. Some sort of corrective EQ match.
EDIT: Just found another request for this with more votes: Request: EQ Matching
In my understanding those are different requested features
The thread titled “Tone Match” exactly describes the Fractal feature you mentioned
