I got my SY-200 in today and I was super excited to start messing around with it, but when I plugged it in, I noticed that the effects on my QC were messing with my synth tone even though it was at the start of the chain. Sometimes I could even have both levels on the SY turned down and I would still hear the QC chain. I’ve been trying every possible routing I can think of for hours trying to get it to where I can have the guitar and synth separate but I just can’t figure it out.
I use the SY-200 extensively but I’m not sure I understand your question. If you make a scene with all the effects switched off, how do you still hear them?
Anyway my routing is SY in the send-return of the QC and an FX loop in the chain. For some scenes the FX loop block is set on 100% mix to have just the synth sound and for other scenes it is 40% mix so that I can activate it when I need a touch of synth on the main tone.
