Can I ask you a quick question? The amp I used for its return input blew up. It was my least favorite yet the best one for the quad. I’m not getting it fixed so I was going to wait for Wampler’s pedal head it feels tube like they say but it’s going to be about $599. How does the Duncan power stage feel since its solid state? Some say less tube like. I’m going to get the 170 but I don’t need stereo. If you see this thank you.
What is the ohms of your guitar cab? The 170 is really 85 watts into 8 ohms, and 42 into 16 ohms. It’s only 170 watts into a 4 ohm cab
It’s 8 ohms. I’m a home guitarist so I don’t need a real loud power source. I’m wondering about the feel. Because I can wait I think until Wampler’s pedal head comes out. Thx for responding.
There isn’t any sort of feel with the Seymour Duncan stuff really…. I have used all of them. I wouldn’t expect anything other than them being something to make you louder
Well me and my wife live in a one bedroom right in the city so I can’t play loud if I wanted too. Finally found a corner unit with one neighbor. She’s the ceo lol. but not here on the weekends. She’s my first considerate neighbor since I’ve been here. They threw out a guy who was blasting his guitar at 3:30am. Anyway, thank you for helping.
